    I am not convinced.
To put it bluntly: Creationists are … just in time to decide not to make one step backwards on my quest to become the politest blogger in this universe and those yet to discover.
Your oak tree, though, is perfect.

I am convinced that nature exists, but how did it come to exist…

      That is the question ;-)

      • Sean Jeating says:

Mylady, I do vehemently agree: Nature does exist.
What I am not sure about: Did anyone create nature? And if s/he did: Did s/he do it perfectly?
Not to forget: Who created the creatorß

As often when the topic one can discuss about is complex I am glad that somewhen there were a woman and man who created a certain Don. :)

  2. Such a beautiful oak tree!

  3. Claude says:

    Whatever….It’s beautiful!

  4. Ginnie says:

In other words, God said…and it was so! :)

  5. Woohoo, this Ozark Farm Chick was just out and about blog~hoppin’ when I ran across your beautiful blog. Boy howdy, did I have fun pokin’ through all your spectacular photos. Don’t worry, I put everything back just the way it was.

    I’m twisted that way….’just sayin’……….. heeehehehehe!!!

From the foggy hills and hollers of the beautiful Missouri Ponderosa, ya’ll have yourself one blessed and glorious week now, ya hear???

The tree, the sky, the clouds, the everything else… all awesome… but perfect? Far from it, if I understand our word perfection correctly. Complete? Well yes, in its own context. Created? Who knows? That old “If created then how was the Creator (or Creators) created?” does niggle me. And if never created just always there… well then, no Creator required. But we, of course, understand nothing really, and should not pretend that we can. It’s the pretending that we can that niggles me most (from all parts of the opinion continuum). The tree is somewhat diseased in parts, but is disease (of trees and us and everything else) all part of the perfection? A stimulating quote.

The quote seems to have taken you in all the same directions as it does me. All the thought processes leave me without an answer, compelling me to think and explore some more.

This tree is covered in ivy and it was recently commented on my blog that this would kill the tree. Some years ago, I thought that too until the tree continued to grow. It has grown around 10ft since I had that thought. The comment encouraged me to investigate further and I can feel a blog post coming on ;-)
