Memories

His journey’s just begun

Don’t think of him as gone away
his journey’s just begun,
life holds so many facets
this earth is only one.

Just think of him as resting
from the sorrows and the tears
in a place of warmth and comfort
where there are no days and years.

Think how he must be wishing
that we could know today
how nothing but our sadness
can really pass away.

And think of him as living
in the hearts of those he touched…
for nothing loved is ever lost
and he was loved so much.

    It can hit you
    It can hurt you

Loving memories are never painful. Actually, they often help us carry on with the present daily tasks. It’s like someone coming to the rescue when needed. All the best always, Cherie. And thank you for your interesting posts.:-)

There are different approaches to remembering. Sometimes it helps, sometimes it’s too painful. Hopefully more of the former than the latter.

I have not heard that one before. So touching and hopefully comforting too.

It is a beautiful poem and I love the image…..I always love to take a moment and light a candle. It took me a while before I could think of happy memories but, I do and so does Andy. We smile together

It is lovely that you can enjoy the happy memories and it is so nice to be able to share them with someone else :-)

There is a candle in the picture that I lit for my Dad.
