Keep Calm & Carry On

I invite you to join me at Vision & Verb where I talk about a random tweet, one of my favourite book shops and how on one occasion the bookshop led to an occurrence of synchronicity.

  1. Am I allowed? Looks like a “women only” place.

    And about time too :)

Everyone is allowed, the girls at V&V love the men to visit and comment ;-) If you look closely you will see that there are a few guest posts from men too :-)

It is a very calm place to be ;-)

  2. And I’ve been feeling a bit more like “Just go crazy and give up” at times recently, but will study your soft flowers and cover image and give it a try.

I do have one of those books that is entitled ‘Sod Calm and Get Angry’. It has a blue cover and lightening strikes coming out of the crown!!

Is that how you have been feeling?

Perhaps I need to photograph that one too… Oh!! perhaps I am spoiling the mood of this post ;-)

      • Not angry, actually, just stressed, and largely stress of my own making, which annoys me.

I think instead of Keep Calm and Carry On, what I need is to allow myself to Keep Calm and Just Rest (for a while :) Trying to “Carry On” is the source of the stress sometimes.

But I am OK really, and Don QuiScottie’s Quest for peace and cheerfulness will continue (after a wee rest)… :)

        Goodnight.

Ah now I see :-) It is always important to take time out for yourself, take a step back and get things in perspective.

I have struggled with keeping my focus over the last couple of years which is not like me at all. I think I am back on track (at least for now ;-) )

Now look up at the top right of my blog underneath my header… I do like to sit and ‘rest a while’ and try to banish any thoughts that are stressing me and think only of the things that make me feel happy.

I find the perfect places for banishing stressful thoughts are sitting in a garden on one of those benches, walking through woodland, watching a stormy sea, sitting by a beautiful calm lake, to name but few.

          Enjoy your rest,

          Goodnight and sweet dreams :-)
