This weeks prompt was:
So our next photo prompt is about embracing and recognizing how each moment is a new one. It’s a place we’ve never been, it’s something we’ve never tried … it’s about attempting ~ beginning ~ savoring the right here and now. Last week we were softly fading away. This week, let’s be present – in this moment – where are you? The theme is wide open for interpretation, and I’m looking forward to what you will share.
I was determined to find time and get out and about with my camera for this one.
Yesterday afternoon I went for my first excursion of the year, specifically with the aim of capturing a few photos. It was only a short excursion, but it was fun. We drove along The Burway and due to a sprinkling of snow it was especially spectacular. Hopefully the first (beginning) of many days/afternoons out in 2013.
More photos on this theme can be found in the gallery.
I hope this sprinkling of snow hops over to us this week, Cherry (as they predict). We had it a month ago but I would love to see more of it. At least the temps are now consistently below freezing point, which is good. And the sun is shining right now. Carpe diem!
Where I live it has turned to rain today, but in other parts of the country it is snowing heavily.
No snow for us so far, just yet more rain.
Nice photo Cherie. A road that may be impassable in a day or so!
It is raining here today too.
The road had its moments yesterday!
The dusting of snow makes the landscape look even more bleak
Yes and it was pretty chilly when I stepped out of the car too.
It’s nice that you got some snow Cherie… winter can be so drab without it…
today Penny and i went off to Timmins about an hour and a half away sout of us to pick up a fried at hospital and bring him home… the sun was out and the world was bright and fresh… it was a good day:)….peter:)
We are missing most of the snow in my part of the country so It was nice to see a little on the hillside.
It sounds like you had a wonderful day out.
It does look chilly and desolate. The photo is beautiful!
It is a bit bleak up there even in summer.
I love the landscape with the powder snow.
Right now we have the most heaviest traffic jam EVER…… in Holland, we have snow… 3 inches and growing
I am thankful for my winter-tires.
I a sure everywhere looks fabulous under the snow and great for photography too
I don’t envy you the traffic jam though!!
Peaceful and desolate and the snow increases the atmosphere of course.
Snow has that effect. We have snow falling here now, but it is rather thin. I referred to it as baby snow this morning…
superb and for this nice photo!
Thank you
I love your right now.
Thank you for sharing.
I am glad you enjoyed it
