How can modern architecture ever compete with this art form?
I don’t think it can and modern architecture isn’t built to stand the test of time.
If i had to be cloistered Cherie… this would be a most pleasing place to be… two wonderful images….peter:)
Yes a very nice place to be cloistered.
Personally, I think both Norwich Cathedral and Worcester Cathedral have slightly greater and more beautiful cloisters than Westminster Abbey.
I think so, you have to visit them and let me know.
Norwich might be on the cards for later in the year. Depite Worcester being close enough to me, I have never been there either
Are all these green spaces and cloisters in westminster Abbey? Amazing. Who’d have thought it. Have I been there? No, I don’t think i have. Must put it on the list.
Yes they are part of the Abbey site and they took me by surprise too
