I think that you have to like (be comfortable) with yourself before you can understand others. That is my ‘own’ thought for the day
Just trying to tolerate myself is tough enough sometimes and I can think of many people of today and throughout history to whom it would be impossible to say that quote to with sincerity. It’s a nice photo as usual though.

Hmm… Having looked at the linked quote I’m thinking that many of the people I could not sincerely say the first quote to probably like or liked themselves very much. But the linked quote probably explains some on my problems. I think your quotes make me think too much, sometimes. Pretty much everything makes me think too much, sometimes. Still, I keep coming back for more. They are always interesting.
The thoughts make me think too… But thinking ‘TOO’ much can make life complicated.
I find it best to feel and trust instincts rather than think. I hope you understand what I mean by that…

Lovely photo and fantastic saying. I often say to friends who are so critical of themselves that they should show the same kindness, tolerance and love on themselves as they lavish so quickly on friends.
You are right everyone needs a little TLC time for themselves.
If you do not love yourself, you cannot love others. If you cannot forgive yourself, you cannot forgive others. Undeniable truths. Great photo.
I think forgiving yourself is an even harder thing to achieve than liking yourself.
