“Fools argue”. Well you only have to watch Prime Minister’s Question-time to agree with that. But as to these ‘wise men’ I’m not so sure about ‘discussing’.
You see one of my favourite quotes is “In dangerous times, a wise man is silent.” Especially if a lady asks “Do you like my new hat?”
The behaviour during Prime Minister’s Question time rather reminds me overgrown kids brawling the school ground.

About the wise and the fools… It is something to ponder upon
My blog has only started playing up (again) for me this evening. It is interesting that you always notice there is a problem before I do…
Fools disagree.
Wise men agree.
Perhaps we can see it this way.
But I think we need to argue, debate sometimes to create new ideas.
Don’t you think so?
I don’t agree with arguing I find the nee to argue a weakness.
Debating yes I wholeheartedly agree, it is only by exploring and discussing different ideas and opinions that we learn

Gossip? I shut my ears to men and women who gossip. Such thoughts are a waste of my time.
I gossip all the time. Women tell me I am a gossip, and in a friendly and welcoming way. I doubt the original quote was intended to include women at all, although I cannot know. It surprises me how women tolerate and even admire men who talk as if half the population was irrelevant to their supposedly high-minded thoughts. But then men have often told me that I am “as bad as a woman”, whatever they may mean by that (although I think I know). Gossip is talking about things that have happened, and might happen, and of people’s attitudes and opinions. Where would we be without it?
Paramahansa Yogananda teachings were for everyone. One of his specially chosen pupils to carry on his teachings after he died was in fact a lady.
If gossip is about talking about things that have happened then yes I do too. I have always seen gossip to tittle tattling about other people, which I don’t do.
