Festive Doorway

On the penultimate day of the year I found time to spend the afternoon at Wightwick Manor.  Only the lower rooms of the house were open, but they were still decked out for Christmas.  On arrival at Wightwick it was time for lunch and I treated myself to a home made scone in the tea room.

Is it possible to have an overload of the National Trust visits?

Maybe it because I don’t visit them enough. I think I only visited one this year as I missed Hill House Helensburgh due to an afterthought to call in as I was passing at closing time. My visit to Sizergh Castle in July was a complete accident ! I could say a lot more but I’m giving away text for a potential future blog post ;-)
