Definitely a day to be commemorated, Cherry!
A day we should never forget.
Now I’m sure it’s your birthday. Happy Birthday.
Not quite my birthday… you know I am an Autumn girl
The 6th of June is important and it was the start of the end of the war.
in 2010 we were at Normandy beach, very impressive.
I few years ago I visited the beach and one of the gentlemen I was with got into the museum free. He had served in WWII and it made his day
I have not been to Normandy yet.
I saw similar war memorials in Weymouth though.
This memorial is in the National Memorial Arboretum.
They also have a memorial at Dover beach.
