Update…

…on The Case of the Missing Wine.

Summer on the Patio

It is seven days since we received the strange delivery note saying Sorry I missed you when I came to deliver parcels “Their was another box of wine I think it was double ordered”. The tracking number is still not available for tracking on the Yodel website. Our supplier can’t get any sense out of Yodel either, it seems our wine delivery is lost in the mystic ether.

Our supplier has pulled out all the stops and sourced new supplies of some of the bottles that have gone missing, unfortunately the bottles of a particularly nice Rose we had ordered for Christmas lunch are not among those that they found.

I think another phone call (from Mr C) to Yodel as to  the whereabouts of our delivery is in order!!

Update (18 Dec 2014) – The replacement wines sourced by our supplier were delivered today. They were left with our next door neighbour for safekeeping whilst we were out. Hurrah!!

    It’s certainly head-scratching and throat-parching.

It would have made a very different Christmas story if the Three Wise men had sent their presents ahead by courier. Just think of all the Carols about missing tracking numbers and mispellings. :)

It probably ” fell off the truck”.

I heard on the news that Yodel were having problems delivering this year. Hope the rose turns up before Christmas. Sorry not to have been in contact – I have been having computer problems.

The replacement wines turned up today. The original wine delivery is missing. Yodel don’t seem to know where it is!!!

I am sorry you have been having computer problems, it is always a pain when that happens. I have just had a new computer and am enjoying everything working for the first time for ages :-)

  5. “The Case of the Missing Wine”, or “The Case of the Case of Missing Wine”?

Either way a veritable disaster, Dear Lady; but I’m sure you’ll find something to imbibe.

Must be something in the water Cherie, a mass die off of computers, mine did a Matrix and with several components at their lifes end it was time for a new one, first day back, and yes it is a joy to see items appear in seconds and not (as was happening) minutes or not at all.
Glad your wine turned up, I have already started on my Christmas “menu”, wine one that is.

Computers are a joy to use when they are new. I have resisted the urge to install too many programmes yet. I have only installed a Virus Checker, Office, Photoshop Elements and Skype so far…

Photoshop is working like a dream, it used to freeze up my computer!

I hope you enjoy your new computer and your wines :-)
