Did you see the Mary Rose?
There is a picture of her in my post
Oh!! i do like this Cherie… what a grand tall ship….peter:)
She is quite special
Enjoyed your write-up! As a Pompey lad, I’m inevitably biased and have happy memories of touring Victory and the Dockyard (or Darkyard) many times. But I need to go back and, to my shame, haven’t seen Mary Rose at all!
Thanks for taking time to read my piece at The Broad Oak magazine
Your really should visit the Mary Rose it is an excellent museum.
Great write up and so much to see.
I think I mentioned before that the only time I have set foot in the town was back in 1987. The men of my extended family stood chatting next to the sea while the women went around the shops. With hindsight a waste as I could see HMS Victory in the distance.
Last year I was prevented by a bizarre set of circumstances from doing a charter rail trip for an afternoon in late november.
I hope you get the chance to visit, I know you would really enjoy it. You would come away with some great photos.
