What sunshine is to flowers, smiles are to humanity. These are but trifles, to be sure; but scattered along life’s pathway, the good they do is inconceivable.

What a lovely photo (as usual),
But while I do like trifles they are quite fattening… but maybe I need to think about that quote again
Trifles are only fattening if you eat too many
Or too much, not necessarily too many, but too much of the one that was meant to feed a family that did not turn up… I speak from experience.
I could only ever manage one small portion of trifle at a time
But Mr C has his own family tale about trifles at Christmas time, but that is not my tale to tell
I like your thought for the week Cherie… and the picture of the wonderful pathway that accompanied it….peter:)
I am glad you enjoyed them
‘Inconceivable’ is a very good word, Cherry.
I am so sorry that I don’t know all the words in the quote, but what I do know is that I love the picture and it does not hurt to laugh/smile/or be positive.
Have a great day.
I am so sorry. Ginnie used my laptop last week and I never noticed her name and other information still filled in…. so Astrid says…….
I am glad you like the photograph and I am smiling that your laptop decided to post your comment as Ginnie
What’s good can be bad too, right?
Hence, it’s “inconceivable”?
This quote is about the good negating the bad…
That is how I understand the quote
