It was a national holiday in the Netherlands yesterday for “Jesus’ flying up day,” as Astrid calls it), Cherry. In America we never even heard about Ascension day…even though I came from a preacher’s home. I knew about Ascension, of course, but we never celebrated the day on the calendar. So strange, I know.
We don’t celebrate the day over hear either. I expect most people don’t even know about it.

this is a wonderful way to celebrate Ascension Day Cheri… the windows are magnificent … we do celebrate the day here in Canada in the Catholic churches….peter:)

My parents sent me to Sunday School while I was little back in Malaysia.
I used to attend Sunday School too. I still have the books that I was presented with for good study and attendance
