An infinite number of paintings too. I sit and watch the waters from my new home, and the hills behind. The scene changes constantly, and never repeated. A shade here, a sunliit slope there, a steel-gray water in one place for a moment replaced by the deepest blue the next as the sun comes out from the ever shifting clouds. A ripple across the way and a dolphin’s head pops up. The moments are all uniques. We are so used to looking for the daily repetitions of sunrise and sunset, the noon clock and the afternoon tea. We barely see the myriad unique moments. That bird on the branch may well come each day around this time but the sky is always different; the wind that flutters its feathers was not the same one yesterday and will not be tomorrows.
Beautiful words, Amfortas
I know I would enjoy watching the ever shifting palate of paintings that you see and feel from your patio
Fabulous quotes for these slivers of beauty, Cherry.
And this sliver of beauty used to hide behind ‘My Oak Tree’. As did so many beautiful sunsets
A lovely thought. I have sight – but no vision.
To acknowledge that no have no vision means that… you do have vision
