The old shed was dismantled on Saturday to make way for a new slightly smaller on. Before the shed can be replaced work is needed on the small retaining wall along the back fence. The previous occupants built half a wall and placed loose bricks to complete the wall behind the shed. Over the years these have collapsed and got buried in soil from the bridle path behind the fence.
We intend to extend the small top patio area slightly and have a pathway leading from the main patio area to the top of the garden by the shed. As you can see, it is still a work in progress.

The work will be rewarding… when you sit in the garden and look at what is done, you forget all those Saturday afternoons working on it…… I hope we get to see ‘the after’ too…. Good luck with the work.

I didn’t mind the lived in look of the shed when the protective branches of the oak tree kept the contents dry. Now the branches are no longer there we need a new shed the keeps the tools dry
What fun! I like the idea of having a garden big enough for a large shed but might despair at the idea of building up that wall again.
We are lucky with the size of our garden, many of the gardens on our estate are much smaller. The new shed will be slightly smaller to fit with our plans.
We will get someone in to build the retaining wall. All these things take time…
