I have just returned from my annual autumnal travels with my mum. On this occasion we travelled to the fine Cathedral city of Winchester :-)

    Ah.. I think you must have stayed in the Mercure Winchester Wessex hotel judging by the view. I hope you tried the fruit cake from the Cathedral Refectory; it comes with my five star rating :)

      I didn’t try the fruit cake, I was distracted by the cheese and watercress scones…

      I half expected to see you in the Cathedral Refectory which we visited on more than one occasion during our weekend break :-)

      There is no routine chiming of bells at Winchester. I missed the chiming clock throughout the night.

      The bells before the Sunday morning service were wonderful :-)

    Did you walk a long the river in Winchester?
    That’s my favourite place. :)
