Salisbury Cathedral

I couldn’t quite get the angle to frame the moon and the cathedral in the same photograph. I could have done with a bit of time but my companion would probable have got bored and impatient whilst I wandered around for the perfect angle.

The second photo shows the top of one of the trees from the first photo.

I spent just one week of my life in Salisbury but I thought it was a beautiful city, both historically and architecturally. Especially the cathedral!

That cathedral is wonderful, Chris, Alan, Lisl took us there two years ago. So much to see in both the city as in the Cathedral.

We first visited the Cathedral in 2014. I had long been waiting after our first visit to Salisbury many years ago. Mr C wouldn’t go in because an entrance fee was expected. thankfully he has changed his mind over the years. I could see his point about paying to enter church, but there is also the point that if there is no revenue the Cathedral would have long since crumbled…

Our cathedrals are such fabulous buildings; I’m always in awe at the work of the stonemasons.
