I am currently writing my review of 2018, it is almost finished, just needing some tweaks and a re-read (and creation of photo montages) before posting.
I have an an update to my recent post ‘Temporary Curtains‘…
The carpet has arrived and is due to be fitted on Wednesday. This means I need to move my computer and desk out of the room along with a couple of other pieces of furniture. I don’t think it is worth setting up my computer for the brief time this is going on so the posting of my review will have to wait until I have access to my computer and photographs.
For now enjoy a step back in time in ‘My Space’:
2010
2010
My Space Rearranged (2008)
My Space (2007)
This image will confuse the eye. It was taken in a mirror so the room is reversed…
There are two rooms that MUST be perfect.. the main bedroom and your study. You have to have a great desk, good computer facilities, a well stocked library and a space for reading/coffee.
The rest of the house can wait
When put back together my study will have all of those things For the past few weeks I have kept turning round to refer to a book in the bookcase that is not there. It is currently being stored in another room awaiting the carpet fitting.
I think the 2010 shot should give an indication if what to do whilst your computer is out of action. You’re existing carpet looks fine; can I have it it please?
I think if I tried that shot now I would need help to get up LOL
The carpete is quite worn out under the chair and desk and there is a scorch mark from an iron in another place. You would have been welcome to it but… Mr C has now cut it up and put it in the boot of his car ready for delivery to the tip.
excellent! a good idea to have a record that goes that long – i have changed my residence 7 times in the past decade!
Wow! that is a lot of house changes! I have only lived in 9 residences throughout my whole life. Now that I think about it I have lived in this house longer than I have lived in any other.
Do you get screen glare from your monitor?
My Mac has this problem, it’s hard look at my screen when it’s too bright outside.
I think the glow was shining off me
Your space is also delightfully uncluttered and tidy, even when in working order. It must be a delight to work there
It had got a bit cluttered before we got the room redecorated. I am intending to try and keep it tidy now
What a great “memory lane” this is, Cherry and I think everybody should have some space of their own. It think after the decorating it will look wonderful (again like it did)
Mr C has his own space in the room next to this. Obviously I don’t share photos of that, because it is his space
I had become a little tired of the old decoration. It was in the house when we moved in. I like my walls to be plain and relaxing. I was trying to get really warm colours because this room is one of the darkest rooms in the house, especially in the winter months. I managed to get the sunny glow that I was aiming for
Definitely a walk down Memory Lane, Cherry. And how fun to get a make-over, I know. Enjoy.
I think I will enjoy I am looking forward to getting my bookcase (I miss my books) back although I am going to put it in a different place.
I am really looking forward to reading it all, Cherie.
Your ‘old’ chair (?) is just like the new one I had sent to me by my son for Christmas, replacing the worn and tattered 30 year old one I have been used to.
Nice to see your feet up having a good, well-earned rest from all your travels.
I only changed my old chair because the gas in the stem had gone and I couldn’t raise the chair to the correct height. Mr C being taller than me inherited my old chair until just after Christmas this year when he replaced it. The chair was still going strong…
Enjoy your new chair, I think you will find it comfortable
I think if I put my feet up like that now I wouldn’t be able to get up again
Now my room is getting sorted I hope to be able to catch up with you for a chat soon
