Bird Song

Today was the first outing for my new (reversible) skirt from Skirt Fanatic. I was all dressed up to visit my mum for a fish and chip supper for her birthday. I am looking forward to wearing it with its detachable pocket and sandals on summer walks.

A Perfect Parcel

My skirt was a joy to unwrap, it arrived beautifully packed with love and attention to detail.

Great for a quick change of costume in the Ladies to then to run in disguise from a restaurant without paying…not that I would suggest for a minute… (etc….) :) Though I wonder if a wig and reversible blouse are on order too?

I am thinking more of a day walking transforming into a ‘fine dining’ experience. Walking shoes by day and more delicate shoes by night.

Hmm… Now you have got me thinking that maybe a change of top is in order too ;-)

It is very smart, Cherie. I think I like the reverse best

What a great idea! I love that you can reverse it.

Love IT! Also, you have a choice between the mild side and wild side – rawr ;)

I also love the way they packaged it, with the little note and accoutrements, giving it a personal touch. I love when they add those little bonuses, it makes things fun to open :)

Since you’re also an avid reader, I’ve just found this book club called “Coffee and a Classic,” where they send you “book box” which includes a classic novel and coffee (or tea or hot chocolate) and some little fun accompanying treats and goodies.

She’s American, obviously, but her selections aren’t limited to American classics – but I’m not sure if she ships there. If not, I believe there are similar businesses in the UK?

There are also other book-box clubs with new novels, but this is the only one I’ve found with the classics, as well as what she chooses to put in the box seems far superior to the other companies – fun to open!

BTW, I also dug the faith, hope, and love candle banners at St. Brandon’s, what a wonderful and warm idea to help us all through.

Well, I love all your photos, they have soul :)

However, since I’m so wordy, I didn’t want to clog up all of your comments sections under each post, so I thought I’d say so here, hope that’s okay ;)

    Love you!

The skirt was fun to receive and is lovely to wear. Although we still have not got back into opportunities of meeting others. Everyone seems to have got out have the habit due to being confined to barracks during the lockdowns.

The book club looks lovely although I would prefer to choose my own book and see what items would be added :-)

I let Mr C choose which side of the skirt I wore for its first outing :-)
