Thank you for your long and selfless service to this country.  You were an amazing lady.

My thoughts are with the Royal family at this sad time.

Sunset for Queen Elizabeth II

I am sure that this evening’s glorious sunset was in honour of you.

Well, said, Cherie – and what a beautiful and apt picture you’ve chosen.

Bright sun still shining through dark clouds, rainbows through the rain over Windsor earlier today – that was Queen Elizabeth herself, wasn’t it? :)

I’m so sad and sorry, Cherie, what a loss – not just for the UK, but for the world – I think we all looked to her during times of adversity for her strength, her stability, and her constancy.

The only thing that gives me some comfort is that she can now see her beloved Philip again.

    (Hugs)

    Love,

    Chrystal and Mark

PS – Mark would like me to add that Ascot will never be the same without her presence :(

There were double rainbows over both Windsor Castle and Buckingham Palace. The cloud formation that I show here, when it formed about 20 minutes earlier was a perfect image of the Queens head. I didn’t see it but the person who took it posted their pic in a local forum and it has ended up in international newspapers.

We were about to leave the house when we heard the news, we were dining with some family members in a place called ‘The Queens’. The meeting had been arranged earlier in the week. How weird is that!

I too am extremely sad but grateful for her service and sacrifice. She is the only person I have ever admired :-)
