Oh, Britannia, how de-light-ing! No energy crises, obviously.
The ‘no energy crisis’ comment made me smile. When we left the restaurants after our evening meals the Christmas lights had been turned off! They were really early evening illuminations.
As an aside… Do you know what has happened to Mr Scott? He seems to have disappeared again.
I hope Andrew is busy with writing but meanwhile am a worried, myself. Only yesterday I wrote him an e-mail. If there’s no answer, latest New Year’s Day I shall try to phone him.
Here, the Christmas lighting finally turns out to be a bit more modest as well. And good so.
Thank you I hope you get a reply and that all is well with him.
I am alive and kicking (gently) Cherie – just not active online. Good wishes, Andrew.
It is good to hear from you. I am glad all is well with you
I think most places (and homes) are still going ahead with their lighting as in other more affluent years, Cherie
The illuminations give a bit of cheer amongst the current gloominess.
Delightful but I agree with above – one does think of the energy crisis and cost but most places I have been still have illuminations up.
I was just surprised they turned the illuminations off so early!
Oh dazzling, stunning and magnificent dear Cheri
I loved the nig illuminations so much
Your city must be looking glorious in the season
Hugs and blessings
They are always a joy to see
They have been reusing the same decos over and over in London for so many years.
I can’t remember the last time I visited London, although it was probably on the annual London trip that came to its end a few years ago.
