The last plaque said it all, yes. Served in WW1 with bravery and respect for protecting life, yet barely noticed by the general public.
I think most people don’t understand the origins of St John’s Ambulance.
What a lovely design for a memorial. My mum volunteered as a paramedic for St John (and Red Cross) in South Africa
