Empowerment
Where the Waterside Shopping Centre (built 1987-91) now stands was originally marshy ground, which the Romans reclaimed, building piers and creating inlets. Here Stephen Broadbent’s Empowerment sculpture spans the River Witham from City Square. Its theme is God empowering mankind in the form of Adam.
