Weight Loss – Week Nine The scales seem to have got back in tune with me this week, I lost 2.5lb. What did I do differently?

All I can think of is two very active days walking, one for business and one for pleasure.  I did of course write down everything I ate so I could keep on track and stay in control.

Oh yes I just remembered – I have started to walk up and down those 3 flights of stairs every day (at work) rather than use the lift, which was a bad habit I got into.  To be honest, I do keep forgetting not to use the lift when I arrive to work first thing in the morning.  But I use that route every other time :-)

So I need to keep focused!

Well done. You’re right about the stairs and didn’t you walk a lot at the end of the week last week too?

WOW! Exercise will do it. And 3 flights of stairs are great. That’s what I use (I live on the 5th floor) when I don’t have a treadmill. It will keep you in shape for the rest of your life, Cherie.:)

I can actually tell how much fitter I am now I have lost a bit of weight. A few weeks ago walking up the stairs meant a rest part way up. Now I can make it without a rest, I am a little out of breath when I get to the top but I soon recover it and my thighs ache a little as I get to the top but that soon goes away too.

You can be proud of yourself, Cherie. The choices we make every day can make or break this weight struggle, and it looks like you know what to do!

To persist in spite of minor setbacks has been a triumph of your will, to paraphrase Riefenstahl.

Basic math. The more you burn..the more weight you lose. You go girl!!!

Well done! I have lost 3lb and am turning up the pace !

But Dear Cherie, have you bothered to consider where that weight has gone? Its molecules have been oxidised to carbon dioxide and water. Carbon dioxide, Ye Gads!!! By losing weight you have become a nett contributor to GGGGlobal Warming! Frankly my dear, I don’t know how you can bear such guilt as you wander around releasing all your carbon into a damaged world :)

Brilliant! But I am convinced weight loss is totally irrational!!

Well done. I’m following you, but much more slowly – 1lb lost this week. Only about another 3lbs to go. Do you think it gets harder as you get towards your target weight?

    • CherryPie says:

you are doing well :-) Yes I think it does get harder as you go along. When I get down to the next stone barrier I know I am going to struggle after that.
