I love the effect!
The windmill in this photo was a silhouette against the sky, it was just crying out for a bit of creative intervention
A bit ominous…
The original photo reminded me of ‘Dark Satanic Mills’ and the industrial revolution and the the cotton mills in Lancashire. Which just cried out for a bit of photo manipulation to express the thought
Horrific
Oh, So trying to comment with the word above, I get told “your comment was a bit too short please go back and try again”. Weird, but ok, here goes:
Horribly horrific
Sorry I couldn’t resist
Wordpress does that, it doesn’t like one word comments…
Happy New Year Cherie.
Great photo
Thanks Ruth
Happy New Year.
… which of course related to the one some posts before, which was a comment on the one on Dec 15th.
No windmill connection though…
I have no idea whether there are any windmills in SOmerset, you have made me want to find out now
Happy new Year Cherie x
Enjoy your search
Happy New Year Kath.
This looks like painting, I love it
Thanks Chrissie, I used Corel Painter to achieve the effect
Great photo. Great work!
Thanks for your visit, I am glad you enjoyed the picture
Oh Cherie… the processing is awesome on this delightful windmill- absolutely love it!
I’m working with HDR imaging and next few posts will show my attempts at accomplishing this
I am so glad you like it
The original was almost a silhouette against a plain sky. When I played around with it in Corel Painter it picked out details in the sky not seen in the original photo. I got a more colourful but less dramatic version but I liked the darkness and contrast of this one more
I am looking forward to seeing your HDR posts, it is something I have not tried.
