a somewhat narrow passageway. reminds me of a scene from some spooky movie of a child exploring where a corridor lead to, in the middle of the night with some really tense background music but this is a nice shot and goes well with your description of the place and ongoing efforts.
The thought of where the corridor leads to reminds me of a conversation I had just yesterday…
