After breakfast it was time to say goodbye to Winchester and its Cathedral and set off on our homeward journey. We stopped off at Hidcote, the first garden that the National Trust took ownership of. We had lunch before strolling round the garden.
We got home mid afternoon and that was when we noticed the first of our recent problems…
Thanks to Peter, I have found my way back in to Cherie’s place. Good to be in touch with your pictures again
Thanks Peter I am glad you found your way back Lisl. I shall try and remember to change the links next time I comment on posts.
Hidcote is beautiful, one of my favourite gardens. And still looking marvellous this late in the season.
It was my first visit but I will be back
Always wanted to visit this garden…stunning.
I hope that one day you will get the chance to visit
What a splendid tree that is at Hidcote. !
Now, about these problems. I hope they are just small ones, easily fixed. We can’t have your holiday marred.
I agree it is a fabulous tree
Most of the problems were minor niggles and merely frustrating. Currently trying out the latest solution to see if the internet can be fixed properly with no slowing down and drop outs. The car however was a more major problem.
But no non of it marred the holiday and in the photos we keep seeing pictures of the car on its last big expedition. Sort of bitter sweet.
Garden certainly looks magnificent.

Nice subtle opener.
It’s just a shame to come home from holiday to problems.
Still working on the problems… The didn’t spoil the holiday
Gorgeous, gorgeous gardens!
