Cathedral in the Mist

After breakfast it was time to say goodbye to Winchester and its Cathedral and set off on our homeward journey. We stopped off at Hidcote, the first garden that the National Trust took ownership of.  We had lunch before strolling round the garden.

Hidcote

We got home mid afternoon and that was when we noticed the first of our recent problems

Hidcote is beautiful, one of my favourite gardens. And still looking marvellous this late in the season.

  3. Always wanted to visit this garden…stunning.

What a splendid tree that is at Hidcote. !

Now, about these problems. I hope they are just small ones, easily fixed. We can’t have your holiday marred.

I agree it is a fabulous tree :-)

Most of the problems were minor niggles and merely frustrating. Currently trying out the latest solution to see if the internet can be fixed properly with no slowing down and drop outs. The car however was a more major problem.

But no non of it marred the holiday and in the photos we keep seeing pictures of the car on its last big expedition. Sort of bitter sweet.

It’s just a shame to come home from holiday to problems.

Your beautiful pictures ,especially in the South, make me homesick for England and my grandfather’s farm.
