Summer in England has arrived unseasonably late. I am not complaining, the days have been warm enough for me to enjoy sitting out on the patio reading a book watching the sun go down.

      The weather in England has been strange this year. When we were on holiday in Slovenia we were told that they had experienced and exceptionally warm summer.

    Are those daisies, Cherie? I have never seen ones with purple centers. beautiful!

    I went to a film last night and when we came out, I could not believe how cold it had turned. 7 degrees!

      It is a Mesembryanthemum. It is supposed to be an annual plant but this one returned after last winter with even more flowers than it had the previous year :-)

    We had summer last week too — temperatures in the high thirties — and it’s supposed to be spring.

      When we visited Piran the weather was hotter than normal, it had been all summer long.

      Now in England the weather is more autumnal. At least it is today, who knows what tomorrow will bring…
