Late today I returned from a long weekend away, spending time with family and friends. In the next few days I will share details from my recent travels before continuing with posts on my travels in Slovenia.

Talking of rooms with a view. I have very recently moved home – just down the road a few doors. But as is the manner of Tasmania, one only has to move a little to get a different view opening up. I have positioned my desk such that I can now look out through the sliding door to a small deck (that I can sit out upon to smoke my pipe), overlooking a fine stand of trees. And summer is upon us too. ! :)

It sounds like you have the perfect view :-)

I am glad to hear that you have settled in nicely and that your new abode is beginning to feel like home :-)

A bridge like that is always a great view, Cherry. And now we, too, are almost home from our longer trip…at London Heathrow right now, waiting for our 12:40 plane to Amsterdam.

A icon of Newcastle. Mind you, those not he other side of the river may say it’s an icon of Gateshead :)

you got all kinds of help from nature in the urban image of the bridge Cherie… with this beautiful sky and the moon dropping into the top corner….peter:)

Classic design, shame for both the bridge and the traffic that it as to work twice as hard now that the High Level Bridge is closed to cars.
