Late today I returned from a long weekend away, spending time with family and friends. In the next few days I will share details from my recent travels before continuing with posts on my travels in Slovenia.

A Room with a View
12 Comments CherryPie on Oct 27th 2015
Talking of rooms with a view. I have very recently moved home – just down the road a few doors. But as is the manner of Tasmania, one only has to move a little to get a different view opening up. I have positioned my desk such that I can now look out through the sliding door to a small deck (that I can sit out upon to smoke my pipe), overlooking a fine stand of trees. And summer is upon us too. !
It sounds like you have the perfect view
I am glad to hear that you have settled in nicely and that your new abode is beginning to feel like home
A bridge like that is always a great view, Cherry. And now we, too, are almost home from our longer trip…at London Heathrow right now, waiting for our 12:40 plane to Amsterdam.
I hope you had a great time and that you have a safe journey home
A icon of Newcastle. Mind you, those not he other side of the river may say it’s an icon of Gateshead
Another great feat of engineering
And I am not talking about the moon
you got all kinds of help from nature in the urban image of the bridge Cherie… with this beautiful sky and the moon dropping into the top corner….peter:)
I am amazed the photograph looks so clear. It was taken through a dirty window!!
‘Nature’ was certainly favouring my photograph
That photo is stunning. The bridge is incredible!
I find the bridge fascinating
Classic design, shame for both the bridge and the traffic that it as to work twice as hard now that the High Level Bridge is closed to cars.
I think it is a great piece of engineering work
