It is a lovely place to visit not only do you get a guided tour that explains the history and how the mill works. There is also opportunity to walk around the mill pools and through the surrounding woodlands which allow views of the mill from different perspectives.
There is also the opportunity to walk under the viaduct (part of the severn valley railway) and view it from both sides along with trains travelling along the viaduct. The walk also allows you to see the track and the steam trains at eye level. The train drivers often blow the trains whistle and wave to visitors as the train passes by. The flour that the mill produces can be purchased raw or in the form of scones in the tea shop.

OH MY, this place is GORGEOUS!!!
these lashing views dropped joy to my heart in deep.
how lashing and serene !
I am glad you found joy in my photos
It is an interesting and lovely place to visit.
Beautiful photos – what a lovely location. Have only ever been on the Severn Railway a couple of times – last time was a Santa Steam Special when the children were little. Years ago my husband and I went on it and had a lovely walk round Arley.
I have note walked around Arley. But I have visited the nearby ‘Arley Arboretum’ it is well worth a visit.
I missed the opportunity to visit this last year when in the area prior to a Shutterchance gathering at Shugborough. I especially like your view through the viaduct.
I think you would enjoy a visit to Daniels Mill Be sure to take the short walk and cross the bridge.
Great idea for the flour that the mill produces to be sold in packages and even better in the form of scones in the tea shop. Otherwise the mill becomes a relic of industries long since dead, surrounded by beautiful countryside.
This is not an uncommon theme in the UK
It is always a pleasure to purchase products from such places
It’s indeed a beautiful land we live in.
There are so many treasures, we just need to remember to look
This place is so idyllic.
Yes I think it is time I went back for another visit
