The Ascension of Jesus Christ

When Jesus had led them out as far as Bethany, He lifted up His hands and blessed them. While He was blessing them, He left them and was carried up into heaven.

    What a lovely window.
Travel question: when you were on the Amalfi coast did you drive or take public transport?
We’re thinking of staying in Salerno and just taking the boat or bus to Amalfi to save costs.

Our criteria for staying on the Amalfi coast was not about cost it was about relaxation and the ability to get easily to places nearby.

We chose Ravello above Amalfi where there were regular scheduled buses to Amalfi and the bus and boat link to towns beyond. We loved our holiday and would not change the experience.

As we found out there are many excellent restaurants to explore in such a small town.

However you need to decide what you want to do/see whilst you are there and how much time you are prepared to take in travelling.

I loved Salerno, we ended up there due to a problem with my camera, it is authentic Italy where Italian is spoken and not much English.

You can find the various bus and boat schedules on line to see if they work for your intended holiday.

I am happy to help you find the internet resources help you with your holiday destination :-)

        Thank you!
How did you actually arrive to Ravello in the first place though? Did you catch a bus or ferry (and if so from where) or drive? We’ve heard driving is a little hairy so have decided not to go that route we think.
