We who walk for pleasure alone must never allow ourselves to think teleologically; our pleasure is in the walking, and in that alone, and we have no need to seek outside the walking for any justification for it.

Agreed. I love to walk.
Walking is therapeutic
So, we need not attach the importance/need of exercise to it, Cherry?! What a life-changing thought.
A good exercise is an activity that we enjoy. Walking is good exercise and also therapeutic leading to healthy mind, body and spirit.
When I walk/run I always have conversations with my self, Cherry. And also enjoying the surrounding and being thankful that I can do what I do….
When I walk I like to hear what is going on around me especially nature, birds, wind, water and so much more.
I managed to hurt my back (by just bending forward) this week which has slowed my down a bit. But walking or even standing helps with the pain.
that is a nice photo of the walking path Cherie… love the thought for the week…peter:)
That view leads to a nice netwalk of walks

I have some duties to perform tomorrow but if the few lingering problems are still with me on Friday I might try to get in to see a nurse at my local GP practice.
