I had not visited Sheffield until my spouse was thinking of working there, so we had a look around. Presumably lots of changes were made as industrialisation got going and the population grew. But I (wrongly) assumed that the Sheffield Blitz had created the most damage. Thankfully.
This was my first visit and I hope to go back
I would guess better then 97% of our local place of worship is closed.
Yes our buildings are closed too, but worship is very much ongoing although in a different way.
When the current crisis is over the buildings will be freely opened again.
It looks as though there was much of interest to see there. A lovely set of images to brighten the day.
The Cathedral had a lovely feel about it. We hope to back
The 3rd photo is very Nightingale.
