When one walks, one is brought into touch first of all with the essential relations between one’s physical powers and the character of the country; one is compelled to see it as its natives do. Then every man one meets is an individual.

I think of you always enjoying your walks, and how important it is for us now that we are permitted to do so

      I do love my walks.

Over the last year most of them have been local so I don’t take photographs on every walk. Maybe I should just record my memories of the walks…

This week has been dogs wanting to be near me and saying hello. A chance meeting with a former colleague. Someone talking in my face (apologizing) because their dog (on a lead) took a fancy to me and refused to move.

I didn’t mind the dog but the non social distancing made me uncomfortable. There was no need for it in an open space.

Then today several people met at a crossroads. I stepped to one side to let a lady walk past me, as I passed her she said I could get back on the pathway. The only problem was that two gentleman had stopped on the path that I was going to walk along. We were all waiting for each other. There was a bit of a chuckle when I said which pathway I was aiming for and the two gentlemen stepped aside and apologized (there was no need for them to) and we had a little chuckle before we went on our respective journeys.

Fascinating and beautiful thought dear Cheri !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

i too believe that reading the book of nature Carefully broadens one’ comprehension how everything is connected to each other amazingly without disrupting each other’s flow and smoothness ,indeed such learning lies with each aspect of nature so we can learn and respect each other as an individual
GORGEOUS photo as always and such a sweet story from your walk :)
more blessings to you and loved ones !

  3. True enough, but then walking in the city has its own attractions, I find.
