My local pathways were quite treacherous this afternoon. I had to deal with compacted snow, ice and snow covered ice. It took me twice as long as it normally would to walk the pathways.

Gin – medicine, pleasure or disaster?
Stayed on two feet. No ‘medicine’ was needed after my walk.
The walk was the medicine -)
Sorry
The birds are still searching for food through the snow. I hope they do well.
The birds in this photo had been fed from the side of the pool. This is why they are congregating by the side of the pool.
Ah! The weather!
You’ve had the snow, we’ve had the aftermath of a cyclone.
I prefer the after effects of a little snow over a mini cyclone.
We had some snow in London too.
But it was too brief.
Gone by the afternoon.
It was lingering by me today. I decided not to go out and risk slipping over and potentially causing damage to myself.
I didn’t go out and play in the snow either.
Cases in London have gone up so high…
It is mostly alright for me to go out for a walk. I choose quiet pathways with minimal (Covid) risk (apart from that disgusting person I mentioned in a recent post).
Lucky you,Cherry, to have the snow!!!
It is pretty but difficult to walk in; It snows, warms up, rains, freeze leading to layers of ice and snow. Not like the snow of my childhood, when I could wade through the fluffy snow without fear of slipping.
Brrr! It sure looks chilly!
The sun took the chill off the afternoon
I am impressed with the snow and I would not mind some here too. You took some great pictures on your walk, Cherie.
It was an unexpected flurry of snow. It is a few years since we have seen snow lie on the ground for more than an hour or two.
You are brave to go out walking in these slippery conditions. I must admit I have stayed indoors for three days
I tested the walking conditions and I must admit I stayed in the following day when the sun hadn’t warmed the ground to melt the snow and ice.
sounds like tough walk dear Cheri
yet you have made it successfully how nice
really nice photos ,i specially LOVED the lake ,such round seems like my world of imagination fascinating image indeed !
birds too look lovely ,wonderful shot each !
Thank you This small pond is one of favourite local places. I can’t wait until our current restrictions are eased allowing me to linger a little while longer to enjoy the antics of the birds.
