I am really enjoying my volunteering opportunity in Visitor Reception at Attingham Park. I work alongside some lovely people both permanent staff and volunteers.
I am so grateful for this opportunity to fulfil one of the aspirations I held when I took early retirement.

One of our friends arranged a breakfast gathering because her family were over from Germany for a few days.
There was much fun and laughter and the extensive menu options proved a challenge for some. For me, the small vegetarian breakfast hit the sweet spot.

Last weekend Mr C purchased two suits in Birmingham. They required tailoring so this weekend we returned to pick them up. This gave me the opportunity for a healthy walk around Birmingham follwed by an indulgent browse around Boundary Mill on our way home.

The Stations of the Cross refers to a series of images depicting Jesus on the day of his crucifixion and accompanying prayers.  The stations grew out of imitations of Via Dolorosa in Jerusalem which is believed to be the actual path Jesus walked to Mount Calvary.  The object of the stations is to help the Christian faithful to make a spiritual pilgrimage through contemplation of the Passion of Christ.

After sorting some things out for mum I had a window of opportunity for an impromptu walk at Trench middle pool which was on my way home.
