I couldn’t leave Belsay and it’s delights without showing you some views of the quarry garden.
My next stop will be Alnwick Garden and some views of my first summer visit there.

Belsay Castle has a completely different look a feel about it than the hall that was built to replace it.  On Christmas Day in 1817, Charles Monck and his family moved from Belsay Castle into the new hall.  Following their departure the Castle gradually fell into disrepair.
