    I think it means men are snakes. :)

    I am not too good with pc lingo,but I know statuespeak.

    We have statues in our gardens and they talk to me at night[and dictate some of my posts!]

    I love Rodin’s The Thinker and Michaelangelo’s David.

    Interesting variation(s) on the theme of the Green Man … ;-) ! I’d love to visit Abbey House, though: looks gorgeous, and there aren’t too many buildings on that scale from the period surviving intact (most having been either razed and rebuilt or extensively updated). Good w/e Cherie, and thanks for the pix! Px

    A fascinating find…it certainly would be interesting to know the symbolism. Apparently the owners tend to their gardens in a rather provocative state of nudity. Everything is created to give the WOW! effect be it the colour scheme of the flowers or the statues themselves. The owners have tried to maintain a medieval look in creating the gardens as well.

      They also have days where people can be naturist, but it is done in a very tasteful way.

      The gardens are wonderful, one of my favorites :-)

    I missed this photo hunt, and I’m glad I followed your link today back to these sculptures. What wonderful work! I love the lizards, the men are beautiful.
