The Office DonkeyDuring the recent and ongoing tidying at work the office donkey was abandoned in the skip along with all the other items that were no longer required and cluttering up the place.

After his recent trauma this was deemed not to be a suitable resting place for a 25 year old so he was rescued or is that donkey napped?  He has now taken up his place in a local nativity scene where I am sure he is very happy.

Speaking of Christmas I really must go and finish off writing my cards, especially after I had to make a special trip to the town centre again to get some more envelopes and stamps.  There were queues to get into all of my normal car parks this time so I used plan B which involved a bit of a walk.  But on the plus side it meant I could park for free ;-)

Seems to be a lot of hard work, Cherie.

  2. There’s a similar lifting of parking regulations down here too Cherie.

This isn’t a lifting of regulations, more of a nonsense… There are three different car park operators in force. Card issued as you stop at the barrier, pay and display or on the retail parks (there are more than one) it is free up to 2 hours.

Normally I would park in the appropriate car park for the shop I am visiting, but I am not prepared to queue for that when there is a better option.

Excellent bit of donkey deployment, Cherie! You sound very organised, despite all the logistic difficulties arising from Christmas shopping.
