photohunt

I delved even further back  into my archives to find these musical memories.

I went so far back the photos weren’t even scanned into my computer.  I also had to figure out how to use the scan to file feature on my new printer, not having used it before.

Creative play! Looks like you could easily have combined both Gattina’s and Sandi’s Photo Hunt themes for this week, Cherie. :)

  2. A blast from the past in more ways than one!

  3. Jams is funny~ a Blast from the past :-)

    “…musical memories.”
So you were in the school orchestra then CherryP?
    What was your instrument? :o
Or, are going to say that you were the ’school photographer’ and took pictures for the school magazine? :)
I love the little boy with the tuba – he can’t be strong enough to hold that up – surely?

Yes I was in the school orchestra and I sang in the choir :-)

I played the clarinet in the orchestra, that is me in the second photo with my brother playing the Tuba and in the background is my Dad. My brother started off on the Euphonium, but they needed Tuba players and he was chosen to make the transition.

I started of with the recorder and later made and played bamboo pipes. That is me second from the left in the first photo with the not quite bamboo pipe. It is difficult to get bamboo big enough to make a base pipe, so it is made out of aluminium with a wooden collar and cork to make the mouthpiece.

  5. I use to play the violin. But it been a while.
    Coffee is on.

Wonderful. I can almost hear the music.

  7. Photo 1: 1st left, that young lass looks kinda familiar!

That ‘bamboo’ pipe looks mostly aluminium!

How very talented you are, and how nice to be able to play together as a family.
