We had a lovely lunch time tour of Pitchford Hall where by coincidence we had the same guide that took us on our previous tour in 2018. Our guide is a fountain of knowledge and Mr C and I had the privilege of a lengthy conversation with her as we enjoyed mince pies and mulled wine after the tour of the house. We enjoyed seeing how the restorations are progressing since our previous visit.
It was rather chilly outside and dark inside the house due to the time of year so I don’t have as many photos from this visit as I did on my previous visit.
More detailed information and photos from my previous visit can be found on the following links:
That timber framed two-storey building is very impressive. Is it still original Tudor architecture, do you think?
You can find out a bit more of the history of the building on the following link:

This house is new to me, Cherie. I Googled it, and it says private tours only, which is a disappointment as I thought I would like to visit.
When it says private it means you have to book a guided tour. The dates for next year haven’t been released yet, when the dates are released you will be able to book a ticket. The tour usually concludes with tea and cake but we had mulled wine and mince pies due to it being Christmas.
It is well worth a visit so keep your eye out for next years dates.
A knowledgeable guide can be a good gift while visiting historical places I agree
Glad you enjoyed your second trip there
Absolutely spectacular pictures you shared fr both visits
It is a fascinating place to visit. Our guide, the same guide we had on our first visit was wonderful.
