After almost three weeks without a computer I am back, my new laptop arrived yesterday. There was a bit of a drama getting Microsoft Office to download but thanks to Tech Support (who were also flummoxed) we eventually got it sorted.
I have few more things to fix including purchasing the latest version of Photoshop Elements and (hopefully) retrieving the data off my poorly computer. Once this is done I will be fully up and running again.
I am looking forward to blogging about my Easter adventures.
The computer is dead. Long live the laptop.
The laptop is currently singing a fine tune with a sweet note
It is as if your computer had covid and it was isolated for 3 weeks. I wish your computer the warmest welcome back
HaHaHa
My Computer was suffering with old age and I wasn’t quite quick enough to upgrade to a new one before it retired itself from service!
it is always a hiccup switching between devices, CP. good to know you are getting back online. i like the powerful jets of the fountain.
I had been putting off switching my computer when most of my software became unsupported or incompatible at the beginning of 2023. In the end my computer decided for me!
I am glad you like the fountain
Welcome back, Cherie. I have missed you. It is horrible to be without a computer
Thank you
I have missed being here and also the opportunity to visit other blogs.
Now I am playing catching up, but I know I have missed a lot.
Welcome back!
I suppose MS Office is now demanding rent? Fortunately I didn’t get rid of my old laptop.
I chose a one off fee and downloaded it to my laptop.
I still have an old laptop but that also would not work efficiently with new software and old software is not supported. This leads to an ever increasing frustration when trying to do anything on the computer.
I am happy with my choices so far. Just a few more tweaks to perfection
Hurrah! Welcome back!
Thank you
Welcome back – so sorry you have had computer woes. I look forward to photos from your Easter break.
I need to edit a few now that I can
Well, welcome back, Ms. Honeysuckle in Reverse – ’bout time!
We missed you!
So is the fountain pic metaphoric, in some way, like your computer sprang a leak – or several leaks – or perhaps maybe “When it rains it pours?” Or maybe it’s more hopeful, like an eternal spring?
J/K I know it’s likely just a great photo, moving water is hard to get in a still shot without a water blur – but there ARE more upcoming travels to be had to share with us, I’m certain!
Love you …
The photo is just the favourite one that I took over the weekend. I like the way that it looks as if someone is climbing down from the fountain
I have to work my way through my Easter photos there are still some on Mr C’s camera which I hope to get soon so that I can post things in order.
I do prefer desktops to laptops.
I find it easier to read on bigger screens.
My laptop plugs into my big screen so that I can have it running two screens at once. I also have the benefit of being able to move to a quiet place with the laptop whilst Mr C is working from home.
The best of both worlds
welcome back and best wishes for all you tend to do in future dear friend
Thank you
