It is difficult to resist the urge to visit the goslings at Leegomery pools to see how they are progressing.

After enjoying ‘Fine Lunching’ on the patio my addiction to the growing bundles of fluff led me on a lovely circular walk taking in some of the new pathways that I have explored this year.

The recent changes to acceptable walking limits allowed me to linger to enjoy some of the finer details on my afternoon walk to Little Apley Pool.

After I had finished that walk I wasn’t quite ready to return home so I extended my walk in a different direction, returning to Leegomery Pools hoping to see the goslings and I wasn’t disappointed. It was also lovely to see the fishermen back doing their thing.

For such a sunny afternoon all the pathways were surprisingly quiet.

I have successfully planned a quiet route to get to, through and around my local woodland area. I have even worked out how to navigate the blind corner I mentioned in my previous post
All walkers I met on my walk today were mindful of social distancing. They, like me were seeking out quiet walkways.
Along the way I found bluebells, what more could a girl ask for

Exploring a new pathway to my local woods. Hoping to avoid the crowds. It wasn’t entirely successful. On the main wide pathway two people were walking towards me so I stepped aside from the pathway. Social distancing. They carried on spreading out to fill he wide path. A cyclist at speed arrived around a blind corner and chose to cycle at speed between myself and the two people on the path. In doing so his face was just a few inches away from mine.
*sighs*

The new pathway is a winner and I will be exploring it again, to gain access to the woods

Despite the current lock-down our local town improvised to celebrate VE day with social distancing throughout the town. Due to the efforts of of local people the town was decorated with bunting and poppies. A plane displaying the message ‘THANK YOU HEROES PAST & PRESENT’ flew overheard. Midlands Today recorded the events including streets that had arranged parties to celebrate VE 75.

Later in the day our street enjoyed a social distancing party to celebrate the day from our front lawns. The current restrictions have brought our communities much closer together, a perfect spirit for VE day celebrations.

Much later on there was ‘Fine Dining’ on the patio watching the sun go down, the stars emerging and two bats flitting around.
A perfect day
